GET TO KNOW

Hey Hey! I’m Kimberly.

I’m a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ—a daughter, writer, strategist, and creative, called by the grace of God to build His Kingdom and prepare the way for His return (and yes, He is coming back). I live in the great state of Texas—born and raised—with two incredible parents who have led a faithful church community for over 40 years! I’m a lover of matcha, music, words, architecture, doors (yes, doors), basketball, streetwear fashion, and the beauty of God’s creation (hints: my photographs). I also have a love for numbers—which carries a testimony that I’ll share elsewhere (for sure). I love to create things from nothing, capture visions, and with the Lord’s help, bring it to life.

The Lord has allowed me to learn so much both in ministry and the marketplace. Professionally I began in sales & Marketing, in verticals like pharma, procurement, manufacturing, and education. I’ve also had the privilege to work as an educator. As an entrepreneur, I’ve been blessed to work in brand-management, web and graphic design, social media, photography, business and non-profit development—all of which led me into consulting. In ministry, I’ve served in a wide range of roles building the church—both inside and outside of the four walls—as a staff member and volunteer—mostly apostolic and prophetic in nature. IFrom strategy and systems to pastoral care, analytics, Bible studies, conferences, women’s ministry, mental health, youth and young adult discipleship—God has allowed me to help build in many lanes.

I’ve always known I was different. Growing up in a small town, I always knew I was designed to venture out into “beyond”. I never had a desire to just do one specific thing, which made it hard to set goals and identify “what I wanted to be when I grew up”. But, subconsciously I found so much joy in that, in being on an undefined—non-linear path—having a million interests and hobbies, working on multiple things at once, multi-tasking to create different things.

Throughout life, school, and various professional settings, I was encouraged to find the one thing and focus on that– master one thing. Fortunately, I was never able to do that, but of course it was a very long and painful journey to see it as a blessing. I’ve taken so many detours trying to forge my own path, create the life I thought I wanted, and ultimately found that the only life that would ever fulfill me is the life that the Lord Himself authored (scripture). I saw only parts of myself and of what I saw I tried to forge a path, but I learned that I can only see in part and there is only one who knows me completely and wholly, The Lord God. As I continually release the desire to create my own way, I am experiencing a level of spiritual, mental, emotional, and creative freedom I never knew existed.

God has an amazing way of freeing us. This theme runs rampant through my story and I’ll soon share it all in full—through writing, visuals, and whatever else He gives me to create. For the sake of this bio, I will say this: The Lord’s way of freeing us is through Him drawing us to himself through trials and circumstances; the ones we create ourselves and the ones that He allows to fortify us. He uses it all and he frees us to be and become who He always intended, if we yield and let Him. My life is an ongoing story of freedom and that’s what I am passionate about helping others achieve; freedom. Freedom in mind, spirit, and soul which is our inheritance (Joshua 1:6).

My prayer is this: that as you interact with anything the Lord allows me to create, you find Him—that you encounter His love, that you are built and strengthened, and that you uncover the hidden parts of you as you dive into Him.
